This is a piece of Pre-Columbian pottery (400 A.D.) from my personal collection. During my career as an archeologist I had the opportunity to ply my trade in some very exotic places as well as some that were downright dangerous. I excavated this utilitarian (vase) pot in a particular desert region of Mexico, about 40 years ago. Photograph taken at the "Jelly Jar Studio" in Hudson, Florida.

I love this old piece of pottery, and the age and how they stay intact always amazes me. Stuff like this makes my fingers itch. The details are incredible and one can only imagine the person who made this and how they used it...love it on black.
