Description
I took this image in Oklahoma during Christmas. I was amazed at all of the different colors emanating from the wood. My 'Biologist' sister proceeded to tell me how it all came about. Seems that there is more than one type tree....each having it's own characteristics. Then you get some bacteria involved to start munching on the limbs who in turn deposit all of the colored minerals and elements by means of a process called leaching. After a hour of listening to her 'Lecture' I asked if all this was true. "Sure' she said, '"That's my story and I'm sticking to it." Sisters????!!!! Enjoy......Taken with a Nikon D 850 with a 70-200 mm lens

Love all the colors in this pile of wood, and the lesson of leaching and bacteria was a real eye opener. The details are incredible. fl
