A young American alligator swims toward me as I stand on a bridge that spans the gin clear water flowing from a natural spring. One of the many that dot the landscape of Florida. Because the bottom is pure white sand the water appears as blue as many of the local beaches along the Gulf coast. Taken in Florida, The Sunshine State. Taken with a Nikon D850 with a 70-200 mm lens.

I am not a fan of alligators, but I love this image! The color grabs the viewer's attention and that lovely curve shape . . . and then you realize it's a gator!! I love that you can see parts of it that are under the water . . and the zigzag in the water of where he has been! Just awesome! . . . .fv
