On the edge of a swamp I spotted this Tricolored Heron perched on a tree limb. After watching birds behavior long enough you can just about tell when they are about to take off. Fortunately I didn't have long to wait, the Heron saw some minnows in the water below. Off he went in hot pursuit. Taken in Florida with a Nikon D850....150-600 lens, Shutter speed 4000
